Pre-purchase underwater inspection: what to ask for
Before a survey haul-out, a diver can photograph the bottom, running gear and zincs. Use this list to know what to ask for.
What a diver can document
- Bottom paint condition and growth, prop and shaft condition, rudder and strut, zinc wear, through-hulls and intakes.
What it does not replace
- A marine surveyor's haul-out inspection and moisture readings.
