Hollywood sits on the Intracoastal at Statute Mile 1072, about 200 yards north of the Hollywood Boulevard bridge, with West Lake Park (shared with Dania Beach) holding roughly three miles of mangrove preserve along the water. Hollywood Marina keeps 240 wet slips to 120 feet, including 54 Mediterranean-style slips for transient, seasonal and liveaboard guests; Loggerhead Marina Hollywood runs 190 wet slips to 120 feet plus dry-stack storage.
The City of Hollywood Marina, at 700 Polk Street, runs a concrete boat ramp with 8 lanes, the biggest public launch point in the city, open sunrise to sunset with a 300-foot boom on site for tying up while you wait. S.S. Holland Park adds another 6-lane ramp, and West Lake Park has a smaller 2-lane launch for kayaks, canoes and small craft, so Hollywood actually carries more public ramp capacity than its thinner page might suggest.
The Sheridan Street bridge, at ICW Mile 1070.5, closes to about 22 feet and carries its own slow-speed, minimum-wake zone from shoreline to shoreline, a manatee-driven restriction, not just a traffic rule, right where Hollywood Beach Park meets the Intracoastal. A boat running this stretch slows down twice: once for the bridge's opening schedule, once for the wake zone around it.
